Important safety information
GLP-1 medication is not right for everyone.
Do not use if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma, or if you have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2. Not for use in pregnancy or while trying to conceive.
Tell the clinician about any history of pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney problems, diabetic retinopathy or an eating disorder — and about every medication you take. Insulin and sulfonylureas in particular raise the risk of low blood sugar when combined with a GLP-1.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and abdominal pain, most often when starting or increasing a dose.
Seek medical care immediately for severe or persistent abdominal pain, which may spread to your back, for persistent vomiting, or for signs of an allergic reaction.
